CLICK MEAT (2015)

CLICK MEAT is the debut album of Ralph Baudach. It consists of ten songs and instrumentals that stylistically range between pop, funk, art rock, electro, trip hop, and jazz.

All of the songs and lyrics are written by Ralph Baudach. He played all of the instruments in his studio and recorded his vocals himself. He was supported by his sister Lena on the cello for two songs. ECHO Jazz award winner Monika Roscher contributed a passionate avant-garde guitar solo for the song "Drop".

The songs were mixed at Hafenklang Studio in Hamburg. Marc Schettler was at the mixing desk, who has previously worked with artists such as UDO LINDENBERG, JAN DELAY, MARTERIA, DIE ÄRZTE, SELIG, SARAH CONNOR, SLAYER, STATUS QUO, ERIC BURDON, JOHN MAYER and SIMPLY RED.

ALLES AUSSER ATEM (2012)

ALLES AUSSER ATEM is the first solo EP of original pop songs released by Ralph Baudach, back then still under his pseudonym FREISAM. He recorded and produced all of the instruments and vocals himself. Marc Schettler (see above) handled mixing and mastering.

The album contains two songs with German lyrics and one song in English. Ralph Baudach's roots in jazz, funk and hip hop are clearly noticeable.

QUARTETS! (2010)

QUARTETS! is a collection of four saxophone quartets composed, arranged and performed by Ralph Baudach.

He originally wrote "Happy Single Mother" for his band MUCKEPACK (see below). "One of a Kind" initially was a duet for saxophone and cello. The title of "Convulsions of a Boisterous Pint" is inspired by the film "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind" and was created in 2003 as part of Ralph Baudach's application for the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg. "Around the World" is an interpretation of a song by The Red Hot Chili Peppers, arranged by Ralph Baudach himself.

I AM THIEF (2005)

KEN is a band fronted by former BLACKMAIL singer Aydo Abay. Shortly after the turn of the millennium, Ralph played saxophone for him a few times in Kurt Ebelhäuser's Tonstudio 45 in Koblenz. The album "I am thief" contains eleven cover versions, including songs by the SUGABABES, PETER GABRIEL, ABBEY LINCOLN, THE WHO, KIM WILDE, TON STEINE SCHERBEN and CAN. Ralph Baudach plays the alto saxophone on two songs.

MUCKEPACK. (2005)

During his studies, Ralph Baudach founded the band MUCKEPACK. with friends, which played a mixture of pop, funk and rock. Within almost three years of its existence, the band won prizes at various band competitions. A highlight was a performance at a festival with ANAJO, KLEE and CLUESO in 2005. In 2006, MUCKEPACK. participated in the musician’s camp in Celle, to which MAX MUTZKE and the band JULI had also been invited over the years. In Celle, MUCKEPACK. were coached by established professional musicians such as Henning Rümenapp (guitarist of GUANO APES), Ralf Erkel (keyboarder of TIC TAC TOE and HADDAWAY) and Jens Krause, the producer of FURY IN THE SLAUGHTERHOUSE, CULTURED PEARLS and DIE PRINZEN. Towards the end of their studies in 2007, MUCKEPACK. disbanded amicably.

L’AUTISTE (2004)

DAZERDOREAL was a trip-hop band led by Aydo Abay, former lead singer of indie band BLACKMAIL. The recordings for the album "L'autiste" took place in 2002/2003. Ralph Baudach was invited as a guest musician on tenor saxophone for one track. The only requirement for the recording was: "Play whatever you want!". This resulted in the title "Drug".

SUCKS-A-PHONE (2000)

In 1999, Ralph Baudach participated in the "Jugend jazzt" competition. After winning first prize, the jury recommended that he form a band. He became a member of SUCKS-A-PHONE, which had already performed on the music channel VIVA and had initial talks with major labels. This was followed by appearances at the SWR3 New Pop Festival and in two episodes of the ARD soap opera Verbotene Liebe. After winning a band competition, an EP was created with three songs featuring SUCKS-A-PHONE's signature sound: German-language soul, hip hop and funk.
